The new Google Search Wiki is now live. When you’re logged in to your Google account, you’ll see the new tools alongside each search result. Google describes the service as a way to “customize your search results with your rankings, deletions, and notes — plus, see how other people using Google have tailored their searches”.

Here’s to Amazon’s ‘wrap rage‘ initiative! Wrap rage describes the frustration felt by consumers when trying to free a product from inpenetrable product packaging. The last product I bought I had to hunt around the house for an old bread knife just to open the plastic wrap.

Here’s a good example of two brands partnering to create something useful for consumers. Fiat & Microsoft have created a new system called ecoDrive that processes driving data so you can get feedback on how to improve your driving to reduce your carbon emisssions.

The Labor government is planning to introduce mandatory censorship for all Australian ISPs, which basically means they will all have to act as filters to block access to child pornography, X-rated material, violent material and other inappropriate material on a government blacklist.
